NUMBERS MATCHING RUBY RED SC W/ FRESH ENGINE & TRANS REBUILDS, EFI
HCC is proud to present this numbers matching 1964 Porsche 356 SC. Finished in Ruby Red over a Butterscotch leather interior, this SC is one of the best examples of the very last of the 356s. Both engine and transmission were rebuilt in April of 2021 by Ed Mayo at Mayo Performance and have less than 400 miles on the rebuilds. The 1600cc flat four was converted to Electronic Fuel Injection at Zims Autotechnic in February of 2023, which, combined with the rebuild, has raised peak power to about 120 horsepower. A German-market heater has been installed, making 3 (or 4!) season driving not only possible, but comfortable. The included Porsche Certificate Authenticity shows that both engine and transmission are numbers matching and that this early-production 1964 was finished in light ivory over a black leatherette and corduroy interior from the factory. The current presentation, in Ruby Red over Butterscotch, is the result of a bare metal restoration completed under 356 expert Tom Scott in 2013. Complete service records from the last two owners (since 2013) demonstrate meticulous service and maintenance.
This SC comes out of local collector ownership completely “turn key” with a clean Texas title.
