ALL ORIGINAL, NUMBERS MATCHING UNRESTORED 356 C IN CHAMPAGNE YELLOW
HCC is proud to present this all-original, two owner 1965 Porsche 356 C coupe. In the same ownership since 1967, this 356 C is a rare example of a 356 that was meticulously maintained and driven while never having been restored, hot-rodded, or otherwise modified. Both interior and exterior display the patina one would expect from an unrestored car while the southern climate and enthusiast ownership mean it is free from the hallmarks of cars that have sat for extended periods of time.
Per the Kardex, Chassis 219 692 is a USA model 356C T6 Coupe delivered through Pacific Car Northwest (Portland, OR) to its first owner in Mountain Home, Idaho. A Karmann body car finished in Champagne Yellow over a Black Vinyl Interior, it was optioned with chrome ventilated wheels (present, though not currently on the car) and Contiental Tires. Engine and transmission numbers are 715 182 and 81916, respectively.
It stayed with its original owner in Idaho until being brought to Oklahoma by its second owner in 1967. The second owner was an active member of the Porsche Club of America, making this 356 well-known in Porsche circles in the area. It was driven regularly, and maintained religiously, both of which are immediately evident upon driving it today. It remained with the second owner (and his family) until our acquisition in January of this year.
Since our acquisition, we have taken it to noted air-cooled specialist Ed Mayo at Mayo Performance, who performed a carburetor tune up, rebuilt the brakes, and confirmed the car's originality.
This time-capsule 356 C is offered fully serviced with a clean title.
