NUMBERS MATCHING '67 SWB 911 WITH FRESH RESTORATION & 911S SPEC ENGINE
HCC is pleased to offer this absolutely stunning Irish Green 1967 short wheel base (SWB) 911 that has been thoughtfully restored and upgraded to 911S "tribute" specification. A fully numbers-matching example of the iconic early 911, this '67 coupe had its engine fully upgraded to 911S specification with use of a donor 911S engine, so it maintains serial-number originality while benefitting greatly from the extra 30 horsepower on tap from its upgraded 2.0L flat-6. The included Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows engine number and transmission number to be original and states that chassis 305801 was originally specified with an Irish Green exterior over a Black Leatherette interior. Optional equipment included chrome wheels, an antenna, a loudspeaker, rubber overriders, and a wooden steering wheel.
The comprehensive two-year restoration took the car down to a bare shell while maintaining 100% of original body panels and frame. In addition to the body and suspension updates, the gearbox and engine were both completely rebuilt. Inside, the interior was freshened with period-correct materials and the seats were re-trimmed with upgraded black leather Recaro sport seats with Pepita houndstooth cloth inserts. All instruments were rebuilt, all seals and weather-stripping are new, and all metal was either re-chromed or replated.
Additional engine upgrades include Solex camshafts, headwork (street ported), upgrade to late-style 911 Carrera chain tensioner, balanced flywheel and pressure plate in '67 S spec, rebuilt carburetors in IDS Spec, SSI heat exchanger, and a Danske Sport Muffler in stainless steel.
The included records show ownership history starting in Los Angeles in 1968, with subsequent ownership history in Massachusetts, and eventually Sweden, where it remained until our re-importation in 2023.
This incredibly well-documented early 911 is offered ready-to-drive with complete records, original manuals and keys, and a clean Texas title.
